Hang in there and read all you can on here, it is a BIG help. My son got to Graham on July 15th was moved to general population August 30th, and is still waiting for transfer to BC. I do get to visit now that he is in GP. I see him every Sunday, that helps us now. Just remember you are not alone, and we are all here for you. This is the BEST family to have right now!

I've read conflicting and/or confusing posts and info on DOC website about visits in R&C.   I wish the DOC could be more clear on what they publish!  I'm sure the huge majority of us relatives have never had any prior knowledge of their system - and clear, correct information is so very comforting to us out here who are worried sick about our loved ones!
My son has been there for over a month and I was hoping for a phone call or a visit about now - from what it says on the DOC website: "They may not have visits for a month, then two one-hour visits for the next 30-days, then three one-hour visits for the next 30 days.  They are not allowed to make collect phone calls for the first 30-days, may make one 15-minute phone call during the next 30-days, and then three 15-minute phone calls the next 30-days."   But it sounds like you guys are all saying that it means after they are moved?   But many of you say they call BEFORE 30 days after the move.
Oh, and on the Graham DOC web page it says, "Reception & Classification:No visits are allowed for phase I Orientation inmates."  but in the next section it also says, "Segregation and inmates with a non-contact visit restriction:9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday, No weekends or holidays
Visitors must arrive by 1:00 p.m. Inmates in C Grade Classification 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday."  So from that I concluded that they might be to C Grade by the end of the first 30 days. . ???

I know from reading through a lot of pages that you experts are going to probably just say "wait".  And I have. . . and I will . . .    (but if you have any insight to share other than that, please do!)

Jaf, inmates in R&C are not allowed visits.  Only those that are waiting for bootcamp and have been there for 60 days are allowed visits, all others have to wait to get to their parent prison before visits are allowed.

Sorry you are so confused, please post any other questions you have here and we will try to help you.
