If you do a search on the front page of IPT for "visiting rules" or "visiting dress code" or another phrase that's similar, a whole bunch of info that will answer that question will come up for you to read. You might want to start here in general:

http://www.illinoisprisontalk.org/index.php/topic,23920.0.html

Just click on the bold lettering Title 20 visiting Rules for IDOC

Once you have looked through some of the info, give a look at the individual prison board concerning Stateville to learn more specific info about visiting there.

Good luck!

Not specifically, but the web is a HUGE bank of information, sometimes I spend hours just looking and searching for information.  I am now searching for information on Domestic Violence and Revocation of Parole and Parole Hearings, etc. If anyone has any good sites I am all ears.  My man has violated parole with only 4 months left due to an argument he & I were having and my neighbors called 911!!  I feel partially responsible in a way, but he break some furniture in anger.  I received a subpoena today in the mail to testify.  I was not wanting to testify as we live together and I love him and he is non violent.  Any one else in this situation please give advice.
Hi
I am going what you was going through last year.  My husband was to get off parole today the 22 of July but he was arrested Tuesday july 19 for domestic battery.  The jail gave him an I bond and he is still in county for DOC hold.  He was 3 days shy of completing a 3 year parole.  I am heartbroke and just sick.  My 13 year old son was being a smart mouth and my husband slapped him in the mouth and the neighbor called the police.  Now my husbnd has to go to DOC and then meet the board in September.  At least that is what his PO has told me.  How did yours work out.  I have only been married for less than a year and I am miserable without him.  At least tomorrow is visitng day at the jail and I can see him, he will probably be moved to DOC Sunday or Monday as that is when his PO returns to work, and he is the one moving him.  I am so scared and feel so lost.  He had a dirty drop in early 09 and his PO said they can go back to that date and violate him from that date.  He has not had any dirty drops for the last two years.  I am praying the only violate him for the three days from Tuesaday the 19th till now.  Life is sucking wihtout him and it is getting expensive as we have already spent 100.00 in the last three days for phone calls
