Definitely!! I'm still waiting on that visiting list to clear because, he forgot some of the information. He wasn't sure which address I had on my license so he has to submit the list again. Darn! I was so disappointed. I think I'm going down with my family though. So, it will be four of us all together.

Have you gone to see your guy recently? How have you guys been doing?

My husband and I are great. We're just waiting for him to transfer to East Moline... I've been working with some state officials to try to get it moved along quicker. No, I haven't seen him since April... we're waiting until he closer to home. It sucks.. I miss him. But, I always went alone and it's a long trip and I'd stay the weekend in a hotel... it's just better and safer this way. He worries about me soooo much. Anyway, I hope the list gets approved quick so you can go see your honey. Good luck.

I'm sorry I forgot you said you were married. I don't know why I thought he was your boyfriend. How long have you guys been married? I heard that it wasn't so bad in East Moline, I think my fiance' mentioned it. How much longer does he have? You drove down there alone wow, you are brave compared to me lol

We got married March 4, 2006 at Vienna actually. Yeah, East Moline is supposed to be really great... more free movement, better food and best of all it's only 2 1/2 hours away as opposed to 7. My husband has 7 months left. Yes, I took so many trips there alone. I was there 11 times between October 2005 and April 2007. The drive is just so long and I hate driving on 57... so many semi trucks! I would stay at a hotel in Marion which is only a half hour away from Vienna, so that part wasn't bad. I visited him every day, so I was never bored. It's just the drive that is bad. He worries about me and we miss each other, but we both feel it is safer. He always tells me he'd rather have me here when he comes home... he worries about me getting into an accident. It sounds silly, but we both lost our significant others in car accidents, so it makes sense. So, we will just continue to miss each other until he gets to East Moline. Hoping by Christmas at least.

Oh that is so sweet. Seven months is not bad he will be out soon enough so you guys can move forward in your lives together. I hope its not too much longer before he is transferred I can just imagine how much you miss him and he misses you. You guys will be so happy to see each other.

Hey blsgrl!!

Do you know anything about the COs blocking a phone number after an inmate has called over 3 times? My fiance' called me 4 times yesterday, each time we got to talk, and he didn't realize that he had called over 3 times. He was kind of worried because he said supposedly, they block your phone number if they call too much. He said a guy who was on the phone before him got a number blocked for the same reason. Now I'm worried that it will happen to us. Do you know if this is true?

forever-

I have never heard of that. For the past 2 1/2 years, B has called me and that has never happened. There have been days we've talked 13 times, separate phone calls and that has never once happened. B never mentioned it and I've never heard of that happeneing. Sounds kinda crazy. Plus, the COs can't even see the dayroom/phone, so I guess a CO would have to stand right there and watch who's using the phone. It doesn't sound true to me.

Hello ladies and gents

My fiance was just transferred to Vienna from stateville.  He is waiting for a bed in boot camp.  Does anyone have any information that can help me find out how long it will be until he goes to real boot camp and how I can contact him via mail.

Thanks in advance

randerson-

My husband is at Vienna and I can answer any questions you have about the place. As far as boot camp goes, I haven't a clue. Mail can be sent to him at:

Vienna CC
6695 Route 146
Vienna, IL 62995

*don't forget to write his # after his name*

Please let me know if you have any questions.

blsgrl,

 hru
I haven't talked to you in a while? How is the transfer to Moline coming along? Are you still waiting to visit him? I am suppose to go visit him in about a week with his mom and sisters. I am so excited about seeing him but not excited about the long drive. I don't like sitting down for too long. Anyway, I hope things are going well for you.

Hey forever-

How are you? Things are fine with me. No, no transfer to East Moline yet.... still waiting.  #@! Hopefully it will happen this month. Of course I haven't been to visit him... as you know we are waiting until he gets transferred. So, it's been almost 8 months since we've seen each other... it sucks.  cyin Hell, he gets out in 5 1/2 months, so we don't fret about it too much.

So, have you been to Vienna yet? What did you think? It's not too bad of a place.... the only bad thing is how far away it is. Yeah, I hear you on the sitting in the car for a long time... not fun at all.

It was great to hear from you. Hope all is well with you, too. Chat soon.

Thanks for the kind words and prayers. I wish you a wonderful first visit.... don't worry about the long car ride 'cause once you are there with your man, you'll forget all about it. Have fun and let me know how things go.

Has anyone here been to visit a loved one at Vienna?  I'm wondering what it's like?  As many details as possible.  Can you hug your loved one?  What is the visiting room like?  Is it usually very crowded?  I've never been to a prison before.  Is there anything else that I should know.  Is there a dress code?  Am I allowed to wear jewelry?  I don't want to get there and be turned away.  I saw someone else posted that she was turned away because her shorts were too short.  It will be a long drive and I'll cry the whole way home if I don't get to see him.  I know about the rules that have been listed here previously...2 forms of ID, etc.  If there's anything else I should know please clue me in.

Thanks
