Hi all,
I have a question about my LO who is in Stateville R&C and tomorrow will be his 30th day there. He just wrote me a letter and said he has tried to call me 2 days ago but when I call the phone service they said my phone number has not been approved yet? he sounded devastated that I didn't answer the phone, but I don't think I even got the call?!?! help! what is going on here? He also said that he is allowed visitors and practically begged me to come see him but when I tried to call a counselor to get more info, before I make the drive and then am denied, they keep hanging up on me! I got hung up on 3 times! anyone have any helpful info about talking to counselors? I did read that usually it is 61 days before visits and 30 days until phone calls are allowed. Has anyone experienced anything different. THANKS!!! In advance for any help or support!

 Good Morning     wc72    and  wc12 .

mhager7221, I would suggest that you go to the top right (of the page) and do a search.Put in Ten Steps,it should then bring up the ten steps entering IDOC. Hope that you can get some of your questions answered. Please keep in mind that MOST of the prisons are over crowded and the process time is taking a bit longer to get them through the system than normal. Best Wishes.Angela

Thanks for the reply leighanns520 ! I have read the 10 steps a few weeks ago and i understand them pretty well i have signed up for everything i possibly can! I just wanted to see if anyone had had an experience when they were allowed to visit after 30 days or if it is very strictly the 61?
