I have a question about work release any help would be greatly appreciated,  my husbands friend is at Dixon CC, he got five years for his 5th DUI, the last one while on house arrest, he wants to find out if he qualifies for work release, he is due to parole 2/13, if so how or who can we call to find out, another question he has a blue id, what does that mean.                         :wc38:u

He needs to ask his counselor if he is eligible for work release and go from there. He/she would be able to tell him for sure and if he is he/she will have the paper work for him to fill out to request it.

He has to be two years short to put in for work release with his counselor, since he is to be released 2/13 he can apply right away. They will tell him if he is approved or not.

If he has a blue ID, he probably isn't eligible for work release...

Sorry didn't see the blue ID question at first and IRA is right, he won't be eligible with a Blue ID.  Blue ID's can have immigration holds on them and other things such as an escape risk, warrents ....

Blue ID is LEVEL M, you can go here to read up on the escape risk designations:

wc38 I believe he said that the blue id was because he had a pending ticket which was thrown out but they have not changed it, now as far as work release he was told that only Springfield could approve him, which I don't know what exactly that meant, I will let him to to start with his counselor, not sure if he has filled out papers yet.

He is right, only Springfield can approve him, but he has to fill that paperwork out first, which his counselor can give him.
