My son was just transfered to Graham R&C on friday (7-15-11), He still has a pending court date in another county which is to run concurrent with the sentence he is serving now. His court date was today for "first apperance". Now it says "first appearance" for 8-8-11. My question is will they transport him to this court date and will he have more court dates before he can go on to boot camp? Very confused and just like everyone else here, this is an emotional rollercoaster.

If the county court and the prison are aware of the court date, they will. But don't expect them to do it automatically. I think his lawyer or you will have to call the court and let them know that he is in prison (give them his inmate number as a proof), and your l/o will have to tell his counselor as well. I think this is how it works, I'm not sure. My husband had a pending court in another county as well, so they took him there from his parent prison. But our lawyer made all the arrangements.

mius2011, he is going to have to get all the court business taken care of before they will move him into BC, so this could take time.  Once he is in BC it is a 120-180 day program depending on the inmate, how he goes through it, but all warrants/court dates have to be taken care of first!

Good Luck to him, hope it all get's cleared up quickly and he starts his countdown in BC.

In order for them to take him to his court date, you or him will have to contact his lawyer.  When you contact the lawyer have them file a writ of habeus corpus with the court in what ever county the court date is in, when that is done the court will send a copy to idoc and they will make sure he gets there.  I hope this helps.
