Hello. My lo was supposed to be transfered from county jail to statesville last thursday. he was never moved and had a visit on friday and said he was on lockdown, and didnt know why he wasnt moved. today is sunday and i havent recieved any calls so im assuming he is still on lockdown. He has a warrant in a different county, his attorney said this could affect his chances of getting into bootcamp. I dont understand, the judge recommended bootcamp and my lo signed the papers. The warrant is just for an unpaid fine, which will be paid off next thursday, therefore quashing the warrant. I am hoping they didnt transfer him yet and will once the warrant is taken care of. Any information anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Could not having the warrant taken care of make him ineligible for bootcamp?

If there is anything you can do, to get that warrant taken care of/quashed, do it now. It WILL affect him getting into BC, he won't be allowed till this is taken care of.

ok thank you. It is $550 to quash the warrant so it has to wait until His dad gets paid and we all live far from the county circuit clerk so it will have to be mailed. It will get there by next thursday. DO you think he will be transfered then after they recieve the money and quash the warrant? How long does hehave to take care of this before they deny him?

Go to judici.com and see if you can pull that county up. Some counties you can payonline on judici.com It would be quicker and payment will post the next bussiness day. Hope this helps. Good luck!

lovinhim11, thanks, but nope i had looked earlier that county isnt listed on judici.com. I wont have the money until tuesday anyways. Hopefully this will only delay things another week and he will be transfered and still get his chance to go to bootcamp. :/

Should get motion filed IMMEDIATELY! Once he is out of receiving and off to parent institution, IDOC will deem him ineligible for Boot Camp forcing him to do his time. Boot Camp is only a recommendation anyway, no guarantees. They will NOT transfer him back to receiving for reclassification. PM me I know some ways that might help and it wont cost $500.

For security reasons sometimes, they don't tell them about transfers way ahead of time. You will have to watch the IDOC website tomorrow night after 9PM when they update to see where he winds up. Best to you and him, hopefully they get his lists approved quickly, so that you can get those phone calls again! Glad he is out of Stateville.

Can anyone tell me, when an inmate is transferred does their phone/visiting list transfer with them or do they have to fill out new ones and wait for approval all over again?

They usually can have phone calls right away from their list, but it's the visting list that may have to be redone once they get to a new location. In your case from work camp to work camp, not sure what they will do.. Good Luck!
