What is Tamms Like? MY SON SAYS THAT PEOPLE FROM Pontiac MAY BE TAKEN THERE. Can anyone tell me?

Tamms is IDOC's SuperMax prison. There is also a Level 7 work camp next door. All the cells are 1 man cells. It is normally for the badest of the bad and gang chiefs, but as it is only about half full it makes sense that IDOC would start to fill it up. There are 10 cells on each wing, 5 on each floor, and 5 wings to a cell block. The inmates can only move within their wing, either to shower, or go to their "yard" which is  fully enclosed by 20ft concrete walls with birdcage wire on top and attached to their wing. They can only see the sky in the "yard". Only 1 inmate can be moving at a time... Now, they can have a few blocks that could allow more movement like a dayroom, but doubt they will do that. It's located 10 minutes off of exit 18(Ullin) on I57 in Alexander County. There is 1 motel at that exit to stay at.... also there is no cable in the area, so they only get about 6-7 channels for the TV... NOT a place that anyone would want to go. But it is relatively new and somewhat clean.
