As most people know my mother passed away recently.  I happen to be monitoring her information and found an inmate from another state whom I don't know and I highly doubt she knew, has been accessing her credit card to fund telephone calls.  The company will not give me the inmates name or the number to which these charges are being made so I am asking that all our members please make sure you check your bank statements, credit card charges etc frequently especially through the holiday season as most people will make online purchases.  Also please make sure that while out shopping you guard your purse, cart, wallets, etc as it only takes a split second for someone to take your stuff.

I am not sure how these people got my moms credit card number as I am in possession of the card and don't use it unless paying off her debt, but I do know she did shop online frequently and may have not been aware of what was considered secure and what sites aren't secure.

I am so sorry to hear that Ivans.............  losing your mom had to be hard enought but now to deal with this is horrible.  I hope you filed a police report as well as letting the credit card company know.

lvanrs2 so sorry to hear about your mother my prayers are with you as you go thru the holidays.

Unfortunately with the holidays, there is a lot of credit card fraud & theft. Please everyone be extra careful & stay safe this holiday season.
