Shawnee questions

Hi sorry I'm new to this but my fiance just arrived shawnee dec 9th...how llong has it  been taking to get the phone and visiting lists approved? And is the mail I send to him running behind?

I can tell you when my husband got there 2 years ago that his visiting list took 2 weeks to be aproved and the phone list took about a month. But things may have changed by now. As far as the mail goes they are about 4 days behind from my experience. I hope that helps a litttle bit. if you have any other questions just aski will try to answer them as best as I can

yes thank you so much....i got a letter from him when he was n receiving and that was about 6 days ago but I haven't heard anything since and I have sent several letters...so I guess I'm just anxious to hear from him again:)

Sorry for the late reply-but I wanted to respond to your question. My husband had been at Shawnee (until 2 weeks ago, he was transferred) since last May. Currently it's been taking 9 days for him to get my letters! I receive his in 3 days max. So hang in there I know how hard it is to not have contact with your loved one.  Also, a heads up-I am constantly complaining to  Consolidated Phone system regarding Shawnee's phones. There were 4 phones in the room, 2 worked and out of the two only one had "good" reception. The other he had to bang on the wall every 5 minutes so I could hear him clearly.  It's very frustrating so I wanted to let you know in advance.

Thank you so much...i just went down there and visited with him...had a great time...most of the officers were nice just a couple of...rude ones though....
