Hello. Does anyone know whether or not you can be ordered to be on house arrest and still get an interstate compact approved? Or is it mandatory that you complete the house arrest in the state of Illinois first. Thanks.

Glad you found the answer, would be nice if you would post it, so anyone else in this situation might know too ... pass it forward.

Called Springfield and it turns out that this is not true, even tho this is what the counselor said. Apparently, there is a lot of paperwork that is involved with an interstate compact, and the counselor didn't want to bother with is so she just told my l/o that his interstate compact was denied. The man from Springfield said that he would resubmit the paper work next week and that it was too early for the counselor to submit it a couple of weeks ago when she did. He also said that it shouldn't be a problem getting it approved even tho he has to do 90 days of house arrest. Its a shame that these counselors are supposed to be there to help, but instead SOME of them give false information instead.
