Hey everyone, so  I called Pontiac today and got shuffled around cause their were no counselours around. The gatehouse transfered me to the farm.. cause my fiance is on the level 3 farm. I was trying to ask about his visitation and they told me he could have a total of 6 visits a month or something and he wasnt on evens or odd days. I am so confused. If anyone knows anything about level 3 farm at pontiac please help me

Sorry, the rotating visit schedule is the max.  I don't know if we have anyone here that has someone at the farm.

I'm glad you found out he's on the farm.  If visiting is the same at the farm as the main prison you will be allowed to only wear one ring, one pair of earrings, one necklace, one bracelet and one watch....they are pretty friendly at Pontiac.  The staff was always very pleasant in the gatehouse.  They have lockers also.  Parking is right near the entryway.  It's very quiet during the week.  I'm not sure whether the farm visits in the same visiting room.  Did you see the pictures in the Gallery?  The farm workers are in the large long building to the right of the gatehouse...not the red brick building.  The farm building looks like a train station...

i guess they said instead of going to the front i have to go to the back for visitation by the farm, but they said to wait a week or two before i go down there since he just got there yesterday, although his mother and i wanted to go on sunday... sucks having to wait just for them to process the paperwork... but im glad hes only about 2 hours away

Pontiac is one of the faster prisons to approve visitor's lists.  That's a good thing. :)
