Hello, my husband has been transferred to Danville, and I wanted to get some updated information as far as visitation, rules and regulations to look out for, if we can even hold hands, kiss before and after the visit, how long the visits consist of, how many can visit at one time, just information so that I know what to expect when I go visit for the first time and learn my way around,  etc.  wc38

Mrs G, visiting at Danville is pretty much the same as every other level 3,  they do stick to the rules,  I have seen groups of larger than 3 visitors visiting but never had that many so i do not know if approval was gotten ahead of time.  They are sticklers about having the correct address on your ID, and you will need 2 forms of ID for your first visit even if you have visited another facility before.   Visits are 4 hours, in a year and half I have never had a visit cut short due.  you can hold hands and kiss at the begining and end of your visit.  All in all it isnt bad for visiting.

The mail there varies... around the holidays it was a couple weeks behind but right now my l/o is telling me that he is getting items within a matter of days.

I didn't reply about how picky they are. I think they are pretty reasonable, my daughter always colors pictures and they have never been sent back.  When I send him something off the internet I usually copy the article on a word document and print off, I make sure that the website is not on there and have not had any problems, photos I have only had problems one time when I decided to send him some of me in lingerie and you could see through it around the breast area they sent that back but nothing else has ever been returned to me.  I have always cropped my pics if there is anything that can be considered contraband for example beer signs etc... best wishes!
